Not sure what size NoBit Bridle to buy for your horse? As correct fit is crucial for the comfort of your horse and the effectiveness of the NoBit Bridle, we don't provide a general sizing table for chosing the right size bridle for your horse. Instead we have provided you with some tips and measurements below to make sure you get the right fit for your horse.
Generally it is as simple as buying the same size NoBit Bridle as the current halter or bridle you are using now.
So for example, if your horse is:
- in a cob size halter, you should order a cob size NoBit Bridle.
- Arabian or part Arabian breeding we would suggest our special Arab size.
We understand that sometimes horses don’t always fit into a standard size or you have just bought your horse so are uncertain as to which size is the right one so there are a few quick measurements you can take to be sure we get the right size for your horse.
1. Noseband - take this measurement around the nose, approximately one and a half inches back from the corner (or smile) of the mouth.
2. Head length/width - from the point where you took the noseband measurement, continue up the cheek, across the top of the head (just behind the ears) and continue down the opposite cheek back to the position where you took the noseband measurement.
3. Browband - you can take this measurement off an existing well fitting browband but please do not include the loops at either end of the browband (where the head straps pass through) as our design differs in this area from a standard bridle). If you do not have a browband fitted to your horse you can measure across the front of the head, from one TMJ to the other where the browband would sit.
Just email those measurements through to us help@nobitbridles.com along with the breed and height of your horse and we can advise which size will best suit your horse.
In some cases due to the adjustment built into a NoBit Bridle it is possible for one size to fit a few different horses. If you are trying to fit one bridle to more than one of your horses please just send through the measurements for each horse and we can advise whether the one size bridle will fit all your horses or if you will need more than one size.
